Hello everyone,

I know I have mentioned burglaries a few times, however I would like to also touch on residents who travel during holiday periods in an effort to inform residents.

These signs usually indicate that a property may be unoccupied:

Accumulated post/parcels

Bins left out

No lights in the evenings

Vehicles not moving

Of course, we're not asking that you leave your lights on the whole time you're away but to consider these steps:

Asking a trusted neighbour to take in redirected parcels if you know you're not going to be in and request that they keep an eye out

Using timer lights

Securing rear gates and entrances

For vehicles, parked somewhere well-lit, steering lock deterrents, faraday pouches to be used where possible
